A Wedding Designer is the originator of the look and feel of your wedding day.  They are responsible for all the elements that together create a cohesive style that is your wedding vision.  Their role is very much like an Interior Designer who designs concepts, sources all the elements & suppliers and oversee the production that bring the design concept to life.

What Does a Wedding Designer Do?

Wedding designers work with you to create a wedding design concept based upon your ideas, your style and your personality.   They are inspired by beauty and are involved in all the details that bring your design concept to life.  You may have the bones of an idea, a wedding designer will help to flesh out the idea elevating it, often creating a version of your idea that you never thought of.

They curate and manage a team of creative specialists that will bring your vision to reality on the day and source any special equipment and/or bespoke props.

Wedding Designers provide guidance on colour creating a custom colour palette for your special day.

They advise on style from your invitations to your wedding cake, linen, cutlery, crockery, chairs and those special photo opp backdrops.

Wedding Designers can put together a floor plan of your venue designing a flow for the day and making great use of the space available.

They can work alongside your wedding planner to create an epic wedding for you and your guests.

When Should I Book a Wedding Designer?

Design takes time!  It will take time for a wedding designer to develop your ideas, source props, build any bespoke elements and source professional suppliers for your wedding therefore, you should book your wedding designer at least 6 months to 1 year before your big day.  If you like a particular designer, it is highly likely that they will be popular with others and be in demand meaning that your wedding date is already booked so the earlier you book the more chance you have of booking your preferred designer.
