I’m Shirley the Founder, CEO & Creative Director of Essence Weddings & Events . Fuelled by a background in interior design, a love of storytelling, a desire to transform spaces and a passion to create beautiful environments, I launched Essence Weddings & Events.
As an Interior Designer I use my skills to extract my clients desires for their spaces and turn their desires into beautiful functional environments that they enjoy. In the role of Event Designer I take your story and use the same level of skill to bring your story, style and personalities to life turning it into a breathtaking space, an immersive experience engaging all of the senses creating something unique that stands out.
I enjoy the process of designing/developing ideas and bringing those ideas to life to help my clients celebrate their event in surroundings that reflect their unique style.
I am a self confessed colour enthusiast and enjoy the process of curating custom colour palettes. All of my clients are taken through an adventurous exploration of colour to add another dimension to their overall design.
My signature recipe for design include colour, florals and a generous dose of candlelight to set the mood.
I have built a team of skilled creative professionals to bring my client’s vision to reality and am known for my friendly down to earth manner and exceptional customer service.
