Creative Wedding Menu Display Ideas

So much time and effort go into the creation and planning of the food for a wedding reception yet wedding menus are often an afterthought with little or no thought given to how the wedding menu will be presented to guests.
In addition to informing and exciting your guests about the delightful food that is to come, wedding menus can be a crucial element in creating your dream wedding décor and style and can be presented in various ways to add to your overall style.
Here are some ideas to inspire you and help you to get creative with your wedding menus.
Individual Menus for Each Place Setting
Wedding menus should be considered as a part of your stationery suite when designing your wedding stationery. There are endless ways that you can jazz up your guests table place settings with gorgeous menus uniquely designed for your wedding. These could be in the form of traditional paper or other materials like slate, marble, a piece of agate, acrylic or a slice of wood, your only limit is your imagination.
There are also countless ways that you can create gorgeous paper menus. Think about the shape of your menu. It does not need to be rectangular, square or even circular. You may decide to use a geometric shape that will enhance your décor, possibly hexagonal or triangle.
There are so many creative ways to present your menus. You could have beautiful calligraphy, gold/silver embossing, watercolour or even fun illustrations.
Using different mediums and textures for your menus will not only add depth and detail to your overall table décor but also interest to your guest’s individual place settings.
You may not want to have individual menus with each place setting but wish to place menus on the table. In this case, you can consider booklet style menus that stand up on the table or place them in frames that compliment your décor. Three frames are sufficient for a circular table of 10 guests. If you have long tables, place a menu every two metres along so that it is reachable within 4 to 6 guests.
If you already have your table numbers in frames, you do not want to overcrowd your table with more frames therefore, you should consider the booklet style for your menu or another creative way of presenting the menu to your guests. Whichever way you choose, ensure that it is in keeping with your wedding style and compliments your décor and the style of your wedding.
The cost of creating menus for each guest may not be one that you wish to incur, one way of eliminating this is to consider a large statement menu.

Large Menu Statement Ideas
Table menus are not the only way to display your menu. A large single sign is a great way to showcase your amazing food and build excitement for what is to come. It can also make a great décor statement. It is likely that you will probably only have a welcome sign and table seating plan as your other large displays. Your large statement menu should be designed to compliment these.
